"Profiles of missing persons" in The Hague
Throughout Ukraine, as a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, thousands of people, both civilians and military, are considered missing.
Anna Demydenko, representative of the Women’s Veterans Movement and our partners LEGAL HUNDRED, gave a speech yesterday in The Hague as part of the panel discussion “Profiles of the missing: Voices of the Ukrainian families of the missing”, organized by the International Commission on Missing Persons – ICMP , with the aim of focusing on the experience of the families of the missing in the context of the war in Ukraine.
During the discussion, participants shared their experiences of how relatives, especially women, cope with difficulties and help develop effective and targeted initiatives to ensure the rights of families of missing persons, as well as the role of public organizations in these processes.
