"Flowers of War"
From June 22nd to July 8th, VETERANKA, with the support of the Peremoga business space, invites you to a unique charity exhibition called “Flowers of War.”
The series of works is by Ukrainian documentary photographer Eduard Kryzhanivsky, created with the help of Ukrainian Witness during a work trip to the Bakhmut direction.
The photographer managed to capture the active work of Ukrainian artillerymen from the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Taras Tryasila. These works impress with their unique vision, which evokes associations with the side of the war that reflects our strength, power, determination, and beauty. Our struggle continues, and we must remind ourselves of it, unite, and support the military, drawing inspiration from their resilience and greatness.
Eduard Kryzhanivsky is a Ukrainian documentary photographer who worked as a journalist and photo correspondent for the “24” TV channel starting in 2014, where he began his career. He actively covered events during the Revolution of Dignity and documented the shootings on Maidan.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he has joined the Ukraine Witness project, where he exposes russian military crimes. He was one of the first photographers to capture the destroyed An-225 “Mriya” pavilion. His works have been published in one of Germany’s largest newspapers, Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Eduard’s photographs have been exhibited and auctioned in the USA, Czech Republic, UK, New Zealand, Poland, and Luxembourg. In Ukraine, he is the official photographer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the exhibition, there will be an opportunity to purchase original works in various formats. We invite you to the grand opening with a welcome drink.
