Halyna Klempouz (Perlynka)
A veteran and board member of the NGO "Women Veterans Movement" (WVM). In 2017, she earned her Master's degree in Law from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
Starting as a student in 2014, she was actively involved in volunteering to support the army during the war. By 2016, she volunteered with the 1st Separate Assault Battalion DUK PS, and shortly thereafter, alongside her comrades, signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine while still pursuing full-time studies.
Initially serving in the 1st MB of the 54th OMBR, she and her comrades later transferred to the 46th OSHB "Donbas-Ukraine" due to a conflict with the brigade's command. In her capacity as a soldier, she undertook various roles including operator, medic, grenadier, company medical instructor, and combat medic for her platoon. Halyna also served as an aerial reconnaissance officer and the battalion's press secretary.
She was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in September 2018.
Halyna has represented female veterans at NATO headquarters and is a distinguished alumna of the Open World program, aimed at fostering the exchange of experiences between Ukrainian and American veterans.
In 2018, she co-founded the NGO "WVM" with other veteran sisters.
