Bohdana Korovaieva is an ATO participant, former sanitary instructor of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Ostroh Princes and the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, now a veteran and reserve officer, founder of the “Territory SPA” center in Chernihiv.

Veteran Tetiana Chudnovets on war and creativity as therapy
Tetiana Chudnovets is a sister-in-arms of the Vinnytsia branch of the VETERANKA movement, an ATO veteran, writer, and veteran support specialist in the Makhnivka community.
Since 2014, Tetiana volunteered, and in 2017 she joined the military as a volunteer and received the call sign “Podolianochka.” She became a senior riflewoman in the 46th Separate Assault Battalion “Donbas-Ukraine.” She shares that military service completely reshaped her vision of life.

We are relaunching the branch in Lviv to support women veterans and active servicewomen of the city and the region
The goal of the project is to unite active servicewomen and women veterans of the city and region around the branch, to inform them that there is now a place in Lviv where they are awaited, understood, and always ready to support their ideas and projects. The branch itself will become an autonomous space of resilience, support, development, and realization of the leadership potential of servicewomen.

The VETERANKA Movement is launching its local branch in Lviv and the Lviv region. To ensure effective work of our team, we are conducting a survey among women and men veterans in the region.
The aim of the research is to understand the real situation regarding the accessibility of services for veterans and the key challenges specifically in the Lviv region.

Tetiana Buhai is a former combat medic of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade «Azov» of the National Guard of Ukraine, a veteran and member of the VETERANKA movement, who joined the defense of the country on the first day of the full-scale invasion. She survived the siege of Mariupol, the loss of her mother and husband, and two and a half years in Russian captivity.
During a prisoner exchange in September 2024, the defender returned home.

Combat medic Olena Yeriomenko was killed in action while shielding a fellow soldier.
Olena Yeriomenko — call sign Leleka — a sister-in-arms from the VETERANKA Movement, was killed in action on June 29, 2025, while on a combat mission in the Sumy region. A service member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a combat medic of the UAV platoon, 3rd mechanized battalion of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura", Olena gave her life to save others. She absorbed the full impact of an enemy FPV drone strike, shielding her comrade.

This month marks seven years of the VETERANKA Movement — a powerful sisterhood born out of war, held together by solidarity, and driven by the fight for justice and equality.
VETERANKA has grown into a nationwide network of over 2,000 women veterans and servicewomen. Together, they advocate for rights, support military units, and help one another reintegrate into civilian life. The road ahead is still long — full of challenges and victories — but the Movement’s greatest strength already exists: a trusted community, ready to stand by each other even in the darkest moments.

The story of Oksana Ivanets — a woman who served for 26 years, went through war, discrimination, and ultimately found her place in civilian life.
She’s a retired lieutenant colonel, mother of many, veteran of both the State Border Guard Service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military journalist — and today, a communications specialist at the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
Her story is one of endurance, exhaustion, and the right to rest — and to honestly admit: “Right now, I’m just doing my job. Maybe later, I’ll be a leader again.”
